For quite a while now,
I have been planning a trip to Paris. This has been a dream of mine ever since
I was a kid and being able to finally go there is truly a blessing.
Paris is
the capital of France. It is a very big city being larger than 100 square
kilometres. Despite having such an extended size, the entirety of the city can
be easily explored by using the city’s subway system, the Paris Metro.
Paris’
history goes all the way back to the 3rd century BC so it is bound
to have a lot of historic monuments throughout the entire city. The centre of
Paris is full of well-known monuments, the most popular of those being the
Louvre, followed closely by the Notre Dame Cathedral. On the south-west of the
city centre there is the world-famous Eiffel Tower. Some other notable sights
scattered around the city are the Arc de Triomphe and the Tuileries Garden.
Paris is
the home of the football club Paris-Saint-Germain, and the rugby union club Stade
Francais. Stade de France is located in the northern are of Paris and it is a
must-visit location for any football fans visiting the city. There are football
matches held there every weekend so if you would like, you should definitely
buy a ticket. There are a lot of other sport competitions that are hosted in
Paris such as the tennis Grand Slam, the Summer Olympics and football’s World
Cup and Europa League.
All in all, Paris is
one of the best and most interesting cities is the whole of Europe. It offers a
variety of beautiful sights and sports arenas all around the city, which are
extraordinary buildings and they never seize to amaze all kinds of crowds who
visit them. If you have the opportunity to visit any city of Europe, I would
recommend you visit Paris without a shadow of a doubt and you are bound to be
amazed and have a good time.
